Dear Buice Center Parents and Community Members,

My name is Kristina Jackson, and I am honored to introduce myself as the new principal of the Buice Center. I am truly grateful for the opportunity to partner with you and with the dedicated staff who serve our students each day. It is a privilege.

I began my teaching career in Gwinnett County Public Schools in 2002 as an Interrelated Resource Teacher and have continued to serve the district in a variety of roles, including special education teacher, assistant principal, and district-level special education coordinator. These experiences have shaped my belief that every student deserves access to opportunities that prepare them with the skills and knowledge needed to make meaningful, sustainable post‑secondary decisions.

My educational background includes a Bachelor’s in Special Education and a Master’s in Secondary Education with a Reading Endorsement, both from Ohio University, as well as a Specialist degree in Educational Administration and Supervision from Lincoln Memorial University. I am currently pursuing a Doctorate in Educational Leadership at Georgia State University. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and close friends, staying active, and participating in community events.

I value your partnership and your voice as parents and community members. Over the coming months, I will be scheduling several opportunities for us to meet and get to know one another. Dates for these meet‑and‑greet sessions will be posted on our website after June 1, 2026, which is my official start date as principal.
